SWIFT plans to launch CBDC interconnection system within the next two years
Swift, the messaging system provider for cross-border bank settlements, has announced plans to launch a CBDC platform in the next two years. This platform will connect different national digital currencies to the current financial system. The organization recently completed a six-month test to evaluate the feasibility of this development, which involved the participation of 38 institutions including central banks and financial institutions.
