Yemi Cardoso, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has stated that the regulation of cryptocurrencies is not the responsibility of the CBN, but has been assigned to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Nigeria. The central bank will collaborate with the SEC of Nigeria.
