American coffee chain Compass Coffee is partnering with cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase to offer customers the option to pay for their coffee using the stablecoin USDC. The chain has 16 locations in the Washington D.C. area, and customers who use USDC to pay at the Half Street location will receive a 90% discount on their order, as well as a free coffee NFT that can be redeemed for a coffee with the Coinbase and Compass logos. Compass plans to roll out this feature at its remaining 11 locations in the future.
