Sami Abouzahr, Head of Wealth Management and Personal Banking Investment and Wealth Management Department in HSBC Hong Kong, stated that the net new assets of HSBC Hong Kong showed a significant increase last year. With the macroeconomic and inflation prospects clearer this year than last year, customers are observed to be more willing to increase their exposure to risk assets. It is expected that strong growth will continue this year. Currently, HSBC is studying the introduction of tokenization technology to provide customers with opportunities to invest in physical and virtual assets, ensuring that the products comply with regulatory requirements, and not all investments are necessarily aimed at professional investors. In addition, HSBC will continue to optimize digital channel services to help customers manage their finances more conveniently through mobile devices and other means.
