The DePIN protocol io.net based on Solana will launch the first phase of its reward program called Ignition on March 1st and it will last until April 28th. This program will reward points based on the GPU provided by users to the network.

When asked if the reward points will be converted to io.net's native token IO, io.net's founder and CEO Ahmad Shadid refused to comment, but he stated that the token is expected to be launched on April 28th.

io.net stated that the upcoming Ignition reward program is the first step towards io.net's decentralization and transferring governance to the community. (The Block)
