New York Judge Orders Ripple Labs to Produce Financial Statements and Information on Institutional Sale of XRP Tokens at SEC's Request
Ripple Labs has been ordered by a New York judge to provide financial statements and information on the institutional sale of XRP tokens to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The SEC made the request in January following a lawsuit accusing Ripple of selling unregistered securities. The documents will help determine whether the court should order injunctions or civil penalties for violations since the lawsuit was filed in 2020. Ripple opposed the request, but the SEC's request was granted in full.
