The price of the BALL token launched by former NBA star Howard almost hit zero
Former NBA star Dwight Howard launched the "Ballers" NFT series based on Avalanche at the end of January. The project was criticized for its design quality and caused Ava Labs to distance itself from the series. Howard also launched a BALL token, claiming that it would be "used for public utilities". Shortly after its release, the price of BALL plummeted, almost approaching zero, and trading volume for the token almost came to a halt. The project's X page was also deleted. On-chain detective ZachXBT commented on X, saying: "Thank you for Dwight Howard's quick rug pull."
