Hut 8: Chief Commercial Officer Matt Prusak will depart on January 31 to take over five Celsius mines
Hut 8 announced that Chief Business Officer Matt Prusak will resign on January 31st. The company will take over five mining sites in Texas owned by Celsius and provide "end-to-end management services." Matt Prusak will serve as the CEO of the relevant mining sites. It is reported that Hut 8 has signed a four-year agreement with Celsius, committing to pay an annual management fee of $20 million, "in addition to the new company's restricted stock and incentive equity." It is reported that Celsius invested hundreds of millions of dollars in building mining equipment before going bankrupt. Its Texas mining sites have a mining capacity of 12 exahash (EH/s).
