Lido: Client Geth usage among protocol validators has dropped from 93% to 67%
Lido, a liquidity collateral platform, has released data stating that since the completion of the Ethereum merger in Q4 2022, the usage rate of the Geth client among Lido protocol validators has decreased from 93% to 67% (preliminary data as of Q4 2023). Lido stated that the final validator and node operator metrics for Q4 of last year are still being compiled, and the platform is working to reduce client centralization risk. Client diversity is a part of Lido DAO's decentralized Ethereum mission, and node operators are pushing to reduce the usage rate of mainstream clients to below 2/3. Additionally, Lido revealed that its latest Q4 2023 report will be released soon.
