Donald Trump's Latest NFT Gimmick: "Mugshot Edition" NFTs and Ordinals on Bitcoin Blockchain
Former US President Donald Trump has launched a new digital collectible that resembles an NFT on the Bitcoin blockchain. The "mugshot edition" NFTs were issued in December on the Polygon blockchain, and collectors who pay $99 for 100 of them will receive a unique card in the form of an ordinal on the Bitcoin blockchain. However, the ordinals and the NFTs cannot be traded by their owners until December 2024, limiting their appeal as investment vehicles. The offer is intended to boost sales of Trump's latest NFT collection, but the announcement tweet thread contained grammatical errors and non-standard capitalisation.
