MetaMask: Bridge users are not affected by this Socket vulnerability incident
MetaMask announced that MetaMask Bridge users are not affected by the Socket vulnerability that occurred today. MetaMask stated that a unique architecture was adopted when designing the cross-chain bridge contract to prevent such attacks. Earlier news reported that the cross-chain protocol Socket was attacked, and funds worth at least $3.3 million were stolen. Hackers used a malicious route to steal user funds from the SocketGateway contract.
