Grayscale: GBTC expected to start trading as ETF tomorrow
Grayscale, the issuer of the Bitcoin ETF, posted on social media that they expect GBTC to begin trading as an ETF tomorrow (January 11th), marking the successful conclusion of over a decade of careful planning and hard work.
In addition, Grayscale issued a risk warning: Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (BTC) (hereinafter referred to as the "Trust") has submitted a registration statement (including a prospectus) to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for the issuance related to this announcement. Before investing, you should read the prospectus in the registration statement and other documents that the Trust has submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to learn more about the Trust and this issuance. Foreside Fund Services is the marketing agent for the Trust. Investing in the Trust carries risks, including possible loss of principal. The Trust holds Bitcoin, but investing in the Trust is not the same as investing directly in Bitcoin. As a non-diversified, single industry fund, the volatility of stock prices may be greater than investing in stocks in a more diversified industry. The risk of severe fluctuations, regulatory changes, and digital asset exchange risks may affect the value of Bitcoin and therefore the value of the Trust.
