ACDE #178: Dencun upgrade confirmed to be activated on Goerli testnet on January 17th
Last night, the 178th Ethereum core developer execution meeting (ACDE #178) was held online. According to the meeting minutes made by the host, Lightclients, the time to activate the Dencun upgrade on the Goerli testnet has been determined to be January 17th. In addition, the developers have tentatively agreed to schedule the Sepolia testnet and Holesky testnet upgrades for January 30th and February 7th, respectively. However, some developers have expressed concerns that the upgrade interval between the Goerli testnet and the Sepolia testnet is too short or may not be enough to observe possible issues. In response, Lightclients stated that ACDE #179 is planned for January 18th. If there are any issues with the Goerli testnet within the first 24 hours after the upgrade, developers will have the opportunity to re-examine the subsequent schedule.
