Chairman of the Hong Kong Securities Association: Virtual assets will run out of this economic cycle
Gao Juan, Chairman of the Hong Kong Securities Association and CEO of Victory Securities, said in a recent interview that virtual assets will outperform in this economic cycle. She believes that in the 2010s, the new economy and sci-tech stocks led the market in waves; in the 2020s, the same effect will fall on virtual assets, and by 2024, the value of traditional financial assets will diverge from virtual assets, and virtual assets will enter a period of harvest. In addition, Gao Juan also pointed out that if securities firms want to transform into asset management, they need to readjust their manpower. On the one hand, they need to lay off employees engaged in "No. 1 plates" (engaged in brokerage of stocks, bonds, and funds), and on the other hand, they need to hire talents in "No. 9 plates" (asset management).
