zkSync: Running node had edge error when computing status updates causing zkSync Era network issues
zkSync posted on social media X that the issue with the zkSync Era network was caused by an edge error in the running node during state updates. The issue has since been resolved and no funds were threatened. The problem itself was related to a state update error: because the L1 contract requires the computed content to be identical to the content sent by the running node, when the running node encounters this error, the network enters maximum defense mode and the sorter waits for the divergence to be resolved.
