Sotheby’s digital art sales hit nearly $35 million in 2023
A report by Cointelegraph, Michael Bouhanna, the Vice President and Head of Digital Art at Sotheby's, stated that the digital art sales of Sotheby's in 2023 amounted to nearly $35 million, with the NFT "Ringers #879" created by digital artist Dmitri Cherniak fetching the highest price of $6.2 million. The auction house conducted over 25 auctions in total, specifically focusing on digital art or incorporating it into contemporary art sales. The company also launched an NFT secondary market called Sotheby's Metaverse.
