  • Ben Armstrong’s YouTube video discusses escalating tension between Charles Hoskinson and the XRP Army.
  • Hoskinson’s controversial comments sparked a new chapter in the Cardano vs XRP feud.
  • The conflict’s root cause is the “ETH gate story,” involving allegations of corruption in the Ethereum Foundation and ConsenSys.

In the latest video on Ben Armstrong’s YouTube channel, the influencer dives into the escalating tension between Cardano’s Charles Hoskinson and the XRP Army. Armstrong sheds light on the recent controversial comments made by Hoskinson.

The video opens with Armstrong delving into Charles Hoskinson’s unfiltered comments directed at the XRP Army. Hoskinson’s statements have sparked a new chapter in the ongoing feud between Cardano and Ripple’s XRP.

The root cause of the conflict, Armstrong explains, dates back to a fallout over what is now dubbed the “ETH gate story.” The controversy involves allegations of corruption within the Ethereum Foundation, ConsenSys, and other entities.

Hoskinson’s stance during the SEC lawsuit against Ripple exacerbated tensions as he advised the XRP community to steer clear of Ethereum-related issues, a move that ignited discontent among XRP enthusiasts.

Armstrong then delves into the heart of the matter: Charles Hoskinson’s recent reduction of Ripple’s XRP to a mere payment settlement layer, dismissing its status as a true blockchain, or layer 1. This dismissive stance has rekindled animosity between supporters of Cardano and Ripple, setting the stage for a renewed clash of opinions.

A key theme explored by Armstrong is the notion of a contrived conflict between Ripple and Cardano. Despite serving different purposes, Ripple primarily focused on payments, while Cardano encompassed a broader scope.

In response to the escalating tension, Armstrong observes a growing sentiment within the crypto community calling for a ceasefire between the XRP Army and the Cardano community.

Notwithstanding the ongoing clash, Armstrong emphasizes the potential of both XRP and Cardano as promising investments within the crypto space. Armstrong urged the communities to recognize the common ground for growth and success without getting entangled in unnecessary rivalry.
