The Chairman of the Financial Supervisory Service of South Korea, Lee Buhm-Soo, is expected to visit the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in January next year. Lee Buhm-Soo is expected to discuss the current status, regulatory measures, and regulatory direction of the virtual asset (cryptocurrency) market with Gary Gensler, the Chairman of the SEC. A financial regulatory official said that intergovernmental regulatory cooperation is very important because virtual assets have the characteristic of being borderless. We will visit the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to discuss this issue.
