Compound DAO passes new proposal to pay $100,000 bug bounty to anonymous developers
Anonymous developer "KP" previously discovered a vulnerability in Compound and reported it, while also providing a code repository containing a proof-of-concept simulation of the attack. After the vulnerability was fixed, "KP" requested a reward of $125,000 from Compound DAO. Compound DAO initiated Proposal 202 to provide a bug bounty for recently fixed protocol vulnerabilities, but it did not pass due to not reaching the required number of votes.Compound DAO then reduced the bounty payment amount to provide $100,000 worth of COMP and initiated a new Proposal 203, which has now reached the required number of votes and has been passed with approximately 93% support.
