BNB Chain releases BNB Greenfield technology roadmap
BNB Chain has released the BNB Greenfield technology roadmap, aimed at improving performance, enhancing development experience, and expanding multi-chain functionality.
The roadmap is primarily based on three key principles: high performance, simplified development experience, and multi-chain platform, including:
Greenfield will also address challenges related to artificial intelligence (AI), including ownership, transparency, and innovation, by integrating it with Web3 on BNB Chain. In addition, Greenfield will enable smart contracts as resource owners between Q4 2023 and Q1 2024 to better control the permissions of BSC/opBNB.Increasing the upload and download speed of SP by 5 times, respectively from 2MB/s to 10MB/s and from 20MB/s to 100MB/s; being compatible with popular Web2 and Web3 standards to simplify development experience; introducing rich storage capabilities, including resource tagging, indexing, simplified data migration, and object atomic updates; providing powerful infrastructure through multi-chain platform for full-chain or decentralized applications (dApps), achieving cross-chain programmability with opBNB and EVM-compatible chains; Greenfield will also be positioned as the basic data availability (DA) layer of the opBNB and NB smart chain ecosystems.
