Hackers who previously attacked Indexed Finance attempted a new attack earlier this month
Blockchain detective ZachXBT posted on X platform, stating that earlier this month, a hacker who previously attacked Indexed Finance attempted to launch an attack on news platform Relevant using an address starting with 0x9b9. The 0x9b9 address is suspected to be controlled by Alex Chon, a blockchain engineer on Github who has been accused of being a North Korean hacker and has subsequently been dismissed from two related teams. In addition, Alex Chon has changed his Github username multiple times and is currently using the names "Holy Pengy" and Pudgy Penguins pfp. Previously, on October 15, 2021, cryptocurrency index platform Indexed Finance suffered a flash loan attack, resulting in losses of approximately $16 million.
