Linea: Linea Stack will be open source and is preparing for the next major version Alpha V2
Linea stated on its official social media that it is preparing for the next major version Alpha V2, which will have lower transaction costs, faster speeds, and 100% EVM coverage. Linea Stack will also be open sourced.
With the Ethereum Dencon upgrade (EIP-4844), Alpha V2 will soon use blobs to store call data on L1, significantly reducing Rollup costs. In addition, the team is working to reduce fixed transaction costs by compressing data sent to L1 and aggregating proofs. Linea will also reduce block time to 4 seconds, increasing speed by 3 times, and release mechanisms to further reduce block time in the future.
