The Hong Kong Generative AI Research and Development Center is launched and will become the core hub of Hong Kong’s AI R&D
According to Voice of Greater Bay Area, with the support of the Hong Kong SAR Government, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the City University of Hong Kong, has established the "Hong Kong Generative AI Research and Development Center" and officially launched its research work in November. Academician Guo Yike, Vice President and Provost of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, who serves as the director of the center, said that the center aims to promote the research and application of generative artificial intelligence technology in Hong Kong, and provide strong support for the innovative development of this field. In the future, the center will become a hub for generative artificial intelligence research in the Hong Kong region, providing a platform for cooperation between academia, industry, and government departments, and promoting knowledge sharing and innovation.
