ZK startup Virtual Labs completes $1.2 million in Pre-Seed financing, led by OP Crypto
Virtual Labs, a startup company focused on zero-knowledge technology development, announced that it has completed a $1.2 million Pre-Seed financing at a valuation of $20 million. OP Crypto led the investment, with Byzantine Marine, Koyamaki Ventures, NEAR Foundation, and several individual angel investors participating. Virtual Labs' main research direction is zero-knowledge ZK state channels. Its founder is a Yale University dropout who aims to use zero-knowledge technology to eliminate gas fees and cumbersome wallet interactions to enhance the Web3 user experience.

Citizens will now be able to pay taxes, fees, tickets and permits entirely in crypto starting with BTC, ETH, USDC, and USDT. The city partnered with a bank that will receive crypto payments and convert them on the spot to U.S. dollars, allowing for the free flow of crypto in the entire economy.
