ProShares to launch 3 new XRP ETFs with up to 2x leverage
ProShares is preparing to introduce three new exchange-traded funds (ETFs) tracking XRP (CRYPTO:XRP), aiming to offer investors diversified strategies amid evolving regulatory clarity.
The upcoming products include the Ultra XRP ETF with 2x leverage, the Short XRP ETF for bearish exposure, and the Ultra Short XRP ETF featuring -2x leverage.
These ETFs will allow investors to take leveraged or inverse positions on XRP price movements, providing tools to capitalise on different market scenarios.
ProShares has not yet received approval for a spot XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) ETF, as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) continues reviewing prior applications, including a notable filing by Grayscale expected to conclude by May 22.
This regulatory progress follows the resolution of Ripple’s legal dispute with the SEC in March, which removed significant barriers for XRP-related products.
Investor interest in XRP ETFs has been growing, highlighted by Teucrium’s launch of a 2x XRP ETF earlier this month, which recorded over $5 million in trading volume on its first day.
Additionally, the CME Group recently added XRP futures contracts alongside Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC), Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH), and Solana (CRYPTO:SOL), further expanding institutional access to XRP derivatives.
These developments signal increasing market acceptance and offer investors more options to diversify digital asset portfolios.
ProShares’ new leveraged and inverse ETFs aim to meet demand for sophisticated trading strategies in the XRP market.
As the regulatory landscape stabilises, these products may influence XRP investment dynamics and provide tools for managing risk and exposure.
Investors should monitor performance and regulatory updates as the market for XRP ETFs evolves.
At the time of reporting, the XRP price was $2.28.
