Bitcoin and Stocks Soar Amid Trade Tension Easing
Bitcoin soared above $93,000 on Tuesday after positive signals from U.S. leaders about easing trade tensions with China sparked a rally across financial markets. President Trump announced that the steep 145% tariffs on Chinese imports would be reduced significantly, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent called the current trade conflict “unsustainable,” expressing hope for a resolution soon.
This optimism boosted risk appetite, sending cryptocurrencies and stock prices higher. Ethereum rose 8%, while Dogecoin and Sui also gained strongly. The CoinDesk 20 Index, which tracks major cryptocurrencies, jumped over 5%. Stock markets also rebounded, with the SP 500 and Nasdaq rising more than 2.5%.
However, analysts caution the rally might not last. Crypto research firm CryptoQuant reported that market demand for Bitcoin has weakened and key resistance levels may slow future gains. Although Bitcoin ETFs saw major inflows and institutional demand appeared to rise, on-chain data shows investor interest remains low, and market liquidity is still below ideal levels.
Overall, while hopes for better U.S.-China trade relations lifted Bitcoin and altcoins, experts warn the rally could be temporary without stronger fundamentals.
