🚨XRP Tanks to Weekly Low as Traders Bet on Further Downside
♦️XRP’s price has declined significantly over the past week. The token currently trades at a seven-day low of $2.09, and key indicators suggest that the downtrend may continue in the near term.
Market data shows a steady rise in the demand for short positions. This trend reveals growing trader confidence in further downside movement, with short sellers increasing their exposure in anticipation of the XRP token’s continued weakness.
1️⃣$XRP Faces Prolonged Sell Pressure:
XRP’s long/short ratio reflects the bearish bias dominating its futures market. At press time, the ratio stands at 0.98, indicating more traders are betting against the altcoin.
♦️This ratio compares the number of long and short positions in a market. When an asset’s long/short ratio is above 1, there are more long than short positions, indicating that traders are predominantly betting on a price increase.
♦️Conversely, as seen with $XRP , a ratio below one indicates that most traders are positioning for a price drop. This reflects heightened bearish sentiment and growing expectations of continued downside movements.
♦️$XRP last recorded a long/short ratio above one on April 22. This means it has been over two weeks since bullish positions outnumbered bearish ones in the $XRP futures market. The extended period of bearish dominance suggests that market participants have grown increasingly pessimistic about XRP’s short-term prospects.
♦️On the daily chart, the newly formed “death cross” by XRP’s Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator supports this bearish outlook. Readings from the XRP/USD one-day chart have revealed that XRP’s MACD line (blue) closed below its signal line (orange) on Monday, forming a death cross.
This pattern is a notable marker of a sustained downtrend and is widely viewed by traders as a sign of weakening price strength. Hence, XRP risks plummeting further.
2️⃣$XRP Holds Key Support at $2.09 — But for How Long?
♦️$XRP currently trades at $2.10, resting above the support formed at $2.03. If selloffs strengthen, the support floor could weaken, making way for a price decline toward $1.61.
♦️On the other hand, if the XRP token altcoin sees a spike in new demand, it could reverse the downtrend and climb to $2.29.

TRUMP Token Faces Ethics Probe, Price Collapses From $75 to $11
President Donald Trump is doubling down on his support for cryptocurrency, urging the U.S. to lead digital asset innovation or get left behind by global competitors like China. Speaking recently on NBC’s Meet the Press , Trump emphasized crypto’s resilience and importance.
“Crypto is too important to ignore,” Trump said, calling out the Biden administration’s inconsistent stance on the asset class. Trump also downplayed personal gains from the Official TRUMP token, stating, “I haven’t even looked,” when asked if he would contribute crypto-related earnings.
Ironically, despite Trump’s generally positive comments about crypto, the TRUMP token suffered a brutal crash, dropping over 85% from its all-time high of $75.35 to just above $11. Its market cap has shrunk to $2.2 billion, a stark contrast to the nearly $15 billion valuation it once commanded.
On the 4-hour chart, TRUMP currently trades at $11.13, closing in on a crucial support zone. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is hovering around 33, near the oversold region. This signals potential for a short-term bounce, but sustained bullish momentum is yet to return.
The MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence) indicator confirms that the MACD line (blue) remains below the signal line, indicating persistent bearish pressure. The histogram is still negative but the bears are narrowing, hinting at a potential reversal if volume supports it.
TRUMP recently retraced from its local high of $16.43 and key levels include 0.382 Fib at $13.60, 0.618 Fib at $12.09, and 0.786 Fib at $11.69. On the downside, $10.32 represents a vital support; a break below could open the door to further downside toward single-digit prices.
The short-term rally triggered by Trump’s “Dinner with the President” campaign for the top 220 TRUMP holders was met with mixed reactions.
While the announcement sent the token soaring by 70% last week, it was followed by an abrupt dump, raising suspicions of “pump-and-dump” tactics. Critics, including Senators Warren and Schiff, have called for an ethics probe, citing concerns about monetizing presidential access.Even Republican allies like Senator Cynthia Lummis have expressed unease, saying the move “gives me pause,” despite being a long-standing supporter of both Trump and Bitcoin.

Saylor Hints at New Bitcoin Buy as Strategy Eyes 600,000 BTC
Michael Saylor might be gearing up for another Bitcoin shopping spree for MicroStrategy. In a post on X, Saylor shared a screenshot of Strategy’s Bitcoin portfolio tracker with the caption: “Too much blue, not enough orange.”
This cryptic message suggests the software firm may soon expand its already record-setting Bitcoin holdings. Notably, orange dots on the tracker represent each instance of Strategy buying Bitcoin.
The company holds 553,555 BTC, worth approximately $52.8 billion, accounting for more than 2% of Bitcoin’s circulating supply. Saylor’s remark indicates plans to increase that total. Notably, similar posts in the past have often preceded Bitcoin acquisitions, typically announced on Mondays.

Just last week, Strategy acquired 15,355 BTC for roughly $1.42 billion at an average price of $92,737 per coin. The move aligned with the firm’s aggressive accumulation strategy.
The company also reported a “BTC Yield” of 11% in the first quarter of 2025, raising its year-end target to 25%. BTC Yield measures the growth in Bitcoin ownership per share of company stock and reflects how effectively Strategy converts investor capital into digital asset holdings.
To support its ongoing buying streak, Strategy has doubled its capital-raising target to $84 billion. The firm plans to raise $42 billion through equity sales and fixed-income securities. According to the public statements, the funds will be directed toward acquiring more Bitcoin.
This expanded war chest has increased speculation that Strategy’s next purchase could be its largest yet. With over half a million BTC already held, an additional buy could push total holdings closer to 600,000 BTC, a symbolic milestone.
Shortly after Saylor’s post, Bitcoin’s price climbed by nearly 3%, rising to around $95,000. As of this press time, Bitcoin is trading at $94,390.57, a 1.2% drop in the past day, cutting its monthly gain to 12.6%.
Bitcoin has been trading in a narrow range for over a week, and investors are looking for catalysts. Strategy’s confirmed purchase could renew bullish sentiment and drive upward momentum toward the $100,000 mark.
If the firm executes another large buy, it may surpass traditional financial giants like BlackRock in the race to 1 million BTC. Meanwhile, BlackRock currently holds 607,685 BTC.

TRON Network Slows, but Data Hints at Quiet Accumulation
The TRON network seems to be slowing down. But that doesn’t mean it’s dead. If we look closely, there are many indicators that show that the ecosystem is in an accumulation phase. According to the latest on-chain analysis , the number of new wallets and gas fees are declining.
Transaction activity is also not as high as it was a few months ago. Even when the price has been rising, interest from new users has remained flat. It’s a kind of pause. Not because it’s losing traction, but more like it’s catching its breath for the next sprint.
Furthermore, this decline didn’t just happen out of the blue. In the past, when TRON hit an all-time high, complex transactions were booming and gas usage was skyrocketing. But now, both average and peak gas usage are down drastically.
This isn’t just empty data—it’s a signal that users are sitting back, waiting, or perhaps preparing to re-enter with a new strategy. It could be a bit like the quiet market atmosphere before a big discount store opens.
However, don’t be too quick to conclude that the network is losing its way. CNF reports that TRON currently supports over 300 million accounts—that’s a number that can’t be underestimated. Even the functions on this network have included micro activities such as micro-tipping, to the issuance of stablecoins worth billions of dollars.
On the other hand, TRON’s strategic collaboration with Tether on May 1, 2025, gave a new boost to this network. The result? The daily transaction volume of USDT on the TRON network jumped 12% to $3.5 billion.
Not only that, the number of active wallets also increased sharply by 15% and the amount of TRX staked also increased by 1%. Just imagine, in an ecosystem that is said to be ‘stagnant’, there was such a significant increase in participation in a short time.
Just the day before, the stablecoin supply on TRON experienced a quite striking spike. In a week, the value of USDT and USDC on this network increased by $2.17 billion. Tether even printed an additional 1 billion USDT on TRON, bringing the total supply of USDT on this network to $71.7 billion.
Nansen analysts say that during the seven-day period, TRON generated $11.7 million in transaction fees—outperforming peer networks Solana and Ethereum.
However, the market still has its vulnerabilities. On May 4, 2025, trading volume on TRON’s DEX dropped sharply. There are concerns about on-chain activity starting to wane. Interestingly, TRON’s Total Value Locked (TVL) which had hit a low of $4.3 billion, has slowly recovered to above $5 billion.
This is an indication that trust in DeFi on TRON has not completely disappeared—it may just be waiting for the right time to rise again.
Meanwhile, as of press time, TRX is swapped hands at about $0.2480, slightly down 0.34% over the last 24 hours and moving sideways over the last few weeks.
