PS5’s top-selling titles in April were all from Xbox
Sony reported that the most downloaded games in April were all from Xbox. According to Sony, Forza Horizon 5 was the best-selling PS5 game in Europe. Oblivion was the most downloaded title in Canada and the US on PS5.
Sony announced that the best-selling title on PS5 last month in Europe was Forza Horizon 5. The newly launched Forza Horizon 5 was followed by the Elder Scrolls 3: Oblivion Remastered, while Minecraft took the third position, Sony revealed. According to Sony, Oblivion was the most downloaded game in Canada and the US. Minecraft followed it, while Forza Horizon 5 secured the third position. All these top-selling titles on PS5 were all from Xbox.
According to Sony , there was so much live action in the gaming industry in April. Forza Horizon 5 was the top downloaded title on PS5 for April across Europe. The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered came in second place. According to the report, Minecraft was Europe’s third most downloaded game on PS5 in April.
Sony revealed a similar gaming trend in Canada and the US, where Oblivion topped the list of the best-selling PS5 games. Minecraft was the second, while the newly released Forza Horizon 5 secured the third position as the most downloaded game on PS5. Sony’s report showed that Clair Obscur: Extension 33 was also among the best-selling titles, ranking fourth in Europe and sixth in the US.

Zelnick said GTA 6 would be a groundbreaking entertainment experience. He noted that the game would exceed the expectations of players. The CEO also affirmed that his firm remained committed to excellence in all its future releases.
Amidst the mixed reactions to the GTA 6 delay, Microsoft recently increased the prices of its Xbox hardware lineup. Why is the crypto market down today?
Crypto markets are down 0.48%, reflecting the drop in stock markets and technical pressures on Bitcoin.
Crypto markets faced minor selling pressure from both macroeconomic factors and Bitcoin technicals. On Tuesday, May 6, the overall crypto market cap declined 0.54%, falling below $3 trillion to $2.94 trillion.
The main driver of the decline mirrored the same factors weighing on equities. The Dow Jones lost more than 400 points, or 1.00%, while other major indices also fared poorly. Typically, Bitcoin (BTC) and the broader crypto market, are correlated with stocks, which likely means that similar factors influence both.
In this case, macroeconomic uncertainty and renewed fears over Donald Trump’s tariffs contributed to the bearish sentiment. Notably, just a day prior, Trump announced new tariffs on pharmaceuticals, after already targeting movies. These new tariff announcements are causing concern among traders, as they suggest Trump is not backing away from his aggressive trade stance.
Despite the overall decline, Bitcoin was more resilient than most altcoins, managing to increase its dominance to 64.1% , the highest level since January 2021. Still, while Bitcoin recovered some of its earlier losses today from a low of $93,400, its price is still just slightly below what it was 24 hours ago, registering a 0.01% loss at $94,841.
One of the reasons for Bitcoin’s underwhelming performance comes down to technical factors, which is unlikely to change very soon. Specifically, Bitcoin is facing a long-term dynamic resistance that started forming after its all-time high in January.
Since then, Bitcoin has consistently stayed below the resistance point, with a last breakout attempt on April 23. This means that further declines are likely, especially as its price has passed the point of control. That is, unless a major catalyst enables it to break this long-term resistance.

Dow drops 390 points as tariff uncertainty overshadows Fed meeting
U.S. stocks fell sharply Tuesday as uncertainty over global trade negotiations and caution ahead of the Federal Reserve’s rate decision weighed on markets.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 389.83 points, or 0.95%, while the S&P 500 lost 0.77% and the Nasdaq Composite slipped 0.87%.
The sell-off came after President Donald Trump dialed back expectations for imminent trade deals during a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. “We don’t have to sign deals,” Trump said , contradicting earlier remarks by both himself and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who had suggested major agreements were close.
Shares of Tesla declined over 2% after new car sales in Germany and the U.K. hit two-year lows, despite growing demand for electric vehicles. Tech stocks like Nvidia and Meta also fell, along with Goldman Sachs, which pulled the Dow lower.
Markets are also focused on the Federal Reserve, which kicked off its two-day policy meeting Tuesday. The central bank is widely expected to hold rates steady, with futures markets pricing in just a 2.7% chance of a rate cut.
However, investors are looking for guidance from Chair Jerome Powell on how the Fed is interpreting the economic impact of renewed tariff tensions.
While service sector data released Monday showed surprising strength, market participants remain concerned about the longer-term implications of Trump’s evolving stance on trade.
Hedge fund manager Paul Tudor Jones warned that even partial tariffs could still act as significant tax increases, potentially shaving several percentage points off economic growth.

Berkshire Hathaway shares slipped after Buffett says he will step down as CEO, stocks surge pre-market
Shares of Berkshire Hathaway dipped over the weekend after Warren Buffett announced that he would retire as CEO by year-end, ending his six-decade reign over the $1.16 trillion conglomerate. The decision was delivered during the company’s annual meeting in Omaha, Nebraska, which caught investors off guard despite years of succession planning.
The 94-year-old CEO stated that he will officially hand over his position to Vice Chairman Greg Abel, whom economists had predicted would become his heir apparent.
In January, Buffett had told investors that his time at the conglomerate was coming to an end, although when he planned to step down had not been disclosed until now. Abel himself was reportedly unaware that the announcement would be made at the meeting.
The news sent Class B shares of Berkshire Hathaway (BRK-B) down 2% in Monday’s premarket trading, falling to $528.91. According to Google Finance data, the shares’ price corrected positively to $539.83, less than an hour before markets opened.
Still, Berkshire’s Class B shares have a strong year-on-year performance, recording gains of approximately 33%, well above the S&P 500’s 12% gain over the same period.
At the Saturday meeting, Buffett did not give a concise elaboration on how the transition would take place, although he confirmed Abel will step up to the chair position. The vice chairman addressed shareholders, promising to be more active in overseeing Berkshire’s subsidiaries, while continuing to let each unit operate independently and “in a very positive way.”
Abel has overseen most of Berkshire’s non-insurance businesses since 2018, while the firm’s insurance operations, including Geico, General Re, and National Indemnity, will continue to report to Vice Chairman Ajit Jain.
KBW analyst Meyer Shields told investors in a client note that Abel is competent, but the surprise Warren Buffett exit news would likely weigh on the stock in the near term.
“Buffett’s departure will probably impact investors’ view of Berkshire more than it will actual operations,” Shields wrote.
According to market insiders, Buffett is supposedly irreplaceable for his investment acumen and his reputation as the Oracle of Omaha. The company holds stocks in several industries like railroads, insurance, energy, and even an ice-cream maker, which many have coined as a symbol of “stable, long-term value” since Buffett took charge in 1965.
Berkshire shareholders are worried about how the firm’s 189 operating units, $264 billion in stocks, and $348 billion in cash reserves would be managed without the $160 billion-worth CEO.
Pre-market data shows the US stock market could start the week on a stronger footing, but stock futures are down across major indices. Futures tied to the S&P 500 fell 0.8%, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures dropped 278 points (0.7%), and Nasdaq-100 futures lost 0.9%.
The S&P 500 in Monday’s session looks set to open with a 1.5% gain, its tenth consecutive positive session and longest winning streak since November 2004. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite and Dow Jones Industrial Average also posted gains of 1.5% and nearly 1.4% respectively last Friday.
The Federal Reserve is slated to begin a two-day policy meeting on Tuesday, and the interest rate decision comes the following day. According to CME Group’s FedWatch tool, traders see only a 3.2% chance of a rate cut at this meeting.
The US dollar weakened for a second straight day, threatening to end the S&P 500’s winning streak. Brent crude futures plunged by as much as 4.6% following OPEC+’s decision to increase supply, while gold prices rose to $3,260 due to a weaker greenback.
