The Economist predicts that Trump will win the US presidential election
there are less than two weeks until the 2024 US presidential election day. The latest forecast from The Economist predicts that former US President and Republican candidate, Trump, will win the election. This is the first time the magazine's forecasting model has predicted Trump's victory since August. According to the predicted data, Trump is expected to win 276 electoral votes next month, while US Vice President and Democratic candidate Harris will receive 262. Trump's estimated probability of winning is 54%, up 6 percentage points from the past week. The Economist's forecasting model uses recent polling results, as well as the economic conditions, population characteristics, and voter preferences of each state in the US.
