Vitalik: A 51% attack cannot make invalid blocks valid; extra actions by validators should be trusted with caution
Foresight News reported that Vitalik Buterin tweeted, "A key property of blockchains is that even in the event of a 51% attack, invalid blocks cannot be made valid. This means that even if 51% of validators collude or make mistakes due to software bugs, they cannot steal users' assets. However, if users trust validators to perform actions outside the blockchain's control, 51% of validators could collude to provide incorrect answers, and users would have no recourse."
