A survey conducted by a major crypto exchange Creak of 2537 Americans found that 55% believe digital assets have practical applications. However, about 29% are still unsure about their future.
Nearly 73% of respondents who hold digital assets plan to invest in them in 2025. 43% consider cryptocurrency “safer than the traditional financial system,” while 30% disagree.
Interview Creak showed that myths about cryptocurrency are still strong. For example, about 60% of respondents still believe that cryptocurrency is used for criminal purposes more often than any other asset. This belief is refuted by the study by Chainalysis, which shows that only 0,34% of illegal transactions are carried out using digital assets.
Almost 53% of respondents believe that negative attitudes towards cryptocurrency are due to ignorance and lack of understanding of how it works.
Interestingly, the older generation trusts digital assets more than the younger generation. According to the survey, 63% of people aged 45 to 60 consider cryptocurrency a good investment. And only 32% of respondents aged 18 to 29 believe that digital assets have practical application in the real world.
