Shiba Inu’s development team recently provided an update on “Shib The Metaverse,” a significant project within the SHIB ecosystem. Marketing lead Lucie announced on September 29 on X that the launch of this virtual space is imminent. 

According to Lucie, “Shib the Metaverse” goes beyond being a simple hangout spot. It is intended to be an artsy community where people can be creative and share themselves and their projects, as well as, of course, SHIB memes. This metaverse will create a thriving environment of people and their creations, experiences, and opinions.

SHIB holders will be able to participate in an active community with no entry barriers. It allows people to express themselves, work together, play games, and even socialize in an environment that is accessible to everyone. According to Lucie, the main goal of this project is to build a global community, “It’s a global party, and everybody is welcome.”

A Hub for Community Collaboration

“Shib the Metaverse” is set to become the main hub for the SHIB community. According to Lucie, users can vote on crucial proposals here, thus promoting the decentralized decision-making system in the ecosystem. This feature will strengthen the community by allowing its members a say in the direction that SHIB will take.

Building the metaverse presents an opportunity for individuals to connect, regardless of their geographical locations. Users can engage in real-time discussions, leveraging avatars to represent themselves.

Lucie noted, “It’s the ultimate clubhouse, but instead of ‘No girls allowed,’ it’s ‘No borders allowed‘.” This sentiment underscores the project’s inclusive nature, inviting everyone to participate in SHIB’s future.

As previously highlighted by Crypto News Flash, lead developer Shytoshi Kusama emphasized that the well-established native token of the Shiba ecosystem is setting new standards, which will also apply to SHIB the Metaverse. It is also worth noting that the Alpha Preview version of SHIB the Metaverse was showcased in March. The launch of the Shib Metaverse is expected to enrich the functionality of SHIB tokens. 

Additional Developments Boosting SHIB’s Potential

In her post, Lucie also pointed out other significant developments within the SHIB ecosystem. Shibarium, as a Layer 2 solution, will also have fiat on-ramps, which is a big leap towards making it easier for users to engage. 

Therefore, Lucie also mentioned possible further developments, including the investigation of zkKYC solutions. This privacy-conscious strategy tries to confirm the users’ identities without exposing their information. Lucie also noted that the exchange will expand the possibility of fiat top-ups, which will make the user’s experience even better.

Although there has been an improvement within the SHIB ecosystem, the price of the Shiba Inu coin has fallen. In the last 24 hours, the value of SHIB was reduced by nearly 6% to $0.00001873. The coin’s intraday trade saw it being traded between $0.00001843 and $0.00001984. Although this downward movement is notable, the weekly performance remains encouraging, with a 27% increase recorded.
