Introduction to USDT-M futures in multi-asset modeWhat is USDT-M futures in multi-asset mode?
USDT-m futures offer both single-asset margin mode and multi-asset margin mode. In single-asset margin mode, only USDT is used as margin, while in multi-asset margin mode, other cryptocurrencies can be used as margin for USDT-M Futures trading. In multi-assets margin mode, any coin can be used as margin, but its valuation will be adjusted based on the haircut rate for that coin. For instance, if a coin's index price is 1000 USDT with a 95% haircut, only 950 USDT will be counted as margin.

How to use the multi-asset margin mode?Switch to multi-asset margin mode

Users can switch between single-asset margin mode and multi-asset margin mode without closing their existing positions provided that certain conditions are met. To switch from single-asset margin mode to multi-asset margin mode, you must use cross-margin mode. For positions under isolated margin mode, switch to cross-margin mode first. To switch from multi-asset margin mode to single-asset margin mode, ensure the USDT asset covers the margin required for current positions and pending orders, and that the MMR is below 80%.

On the website, you can switch asset modes directly in "Settings" or in the margin section on the trading page, as shown in the image below:

2. How is margin calculated?

Multi-asset margin = sum of the net assets of each coin multiplied by their respective haircutAvailable margin = multi-asset margin – margin occupied by positions and pending orders – initial margin of the loan.In which, the initial margin of the loan = absolute value of the loan × initial margin rate of the loan. The current initial margin rate for the debt is set at 10%. Users will be notified of any future changes via announcements.

3.Calculation of inbound and outbound transfer amounts

Inbound transfer

Transferable amount = limit − net inbound transfer amountLimit = min (individual limit, platform limit)

Outbound transfer

If the unrealized PnL under cross margin mode is greater than zero, the transferable amount = available amount − unrealized profit − trading bonus.

If the unrealized PnL under cross margin mode is less than zero, the transferable amount = available amount − trading bonus.

Transferable amount of a coin = min (transferable amount ÷ coin index price, net coin quantity).

Net quantity of the coin is the amount remaining after deducting the quantity used for positions and pending orders.
