How to reset/disable Google Authentication (GA) - Mobile App Tutorial
Some common scenarios when users are required to reset/disable Google Authentication (GA):
· Losing your phone device.
· Malfunction of phone device / GA app (not accessible).
· Deleting GA app or GA account accidentally.
For mobile app users who no longer can access the GA app to login their own Bitget account, please follow the next step-by-step guide below:
Step 1:
Go to [My Profile] icon from [Home] on top left and click [Login].
Step 2:
Login your account. Please ensure that you remember your password.
Step 3:
Complete the captcha verification.
Step 4:
Since you are unable to obtain 6-digit verification code from GA, select the option: [Unavailable].
Step 5:
1) A new pop up message will appear, click [Got It] to proceed with your application to reset GA.
2) There are 2-3 security options depending if you have linked email address or mobile phone (or both). Choose [Google Verification Is Unavailable. Unlink my Google Authenticator].
Step 6:
1) For email registered account, enter the verification code sent to your registered email inbox.
2) For mobile registered account (or linked with both email and mobile), enter the verification code or SMS code sent to your mobile number (or both).
Step 7:
Answer 5 security questions (compulsory).
Step 8:
Please upload your KYC (identity verification) documents:
· Front view of ID/passport/driver's license according to your identity verification
· Back view of ID/passport/driver's license according to your identity verification
· A selfie of you holding your ID/passport/driver's license
Reminder: Make sure all uploaded photos selfie are clear and visible. Your application could be rejected due to several reasons.
Step 9:
A reminder message will appear. Click it to proceed with your request. Please be informed that your application is under review within 24 hours.
Important note: Any withdrawal and P2P trading will be restricted for 24 hours after a security item has changed successfully.
