Karmaverse is a metaverse that consists of different GameFi projects, SocialFi elements, and a suite of tools that allow developers to release similar games on the ecosystem. The team of Karmaverse has plans to release a wide variety of games from fantasy to cyberpunk-based futuristic dystopia to East Asia-inspired.
Karmaverse was introduced in 2021 by a team of experts in the gaming industry and had 12 rounds of fundraising for VCs. They got the attention of various big firms such as Polygon Studios and OKX Ventures.
How Karmaverse (KNOT) Works
Being a metaverse plus ecosystem of GameFi and SocialFi, Karmaverse makes various elements useable in different game worlds, which are NFT, the Marketplace, and the token KNOT. Not all NFTs can be used in multiple games, but some types of NFT like Avatar NFT can be. On the other hand, the Marketplace is created for the whole metaverse, which means that resources from all projects of the Karmaverse can be traded here.
Probably the most crucial element of Karmaverse is the token KNOT. KNOT serves as both the utility token and the governance token. In terms of utility, KNOT is needed for trading on the Marketplace, minting new NFTs, creating new games, mining liquidity, etc.
At the moment, the only released game of the Karmaverse metaverse is Karmaverse Zombie, in which players have to battle zombies for survival.
