What is Buffer Finance (BFR)?
Buffer Finance is a decentralized non-custodial options trading platform. It takes pride in being the first gamified options trading platform on BSC. Besides options trading features, Buffer Finance offers practice trading, referral, and an exclusive NFT collection.
The protocol was created in 2021 and started out on BSC, then moved to Arbitrum in 2022. Its main token was also changed from iBFR to BFR. According to the data on DeFi Llama, the total value locked in Buffer Finance is $9.8 million.
How Buffer Finance (BFR) Works
Buffer Finance works with the participation of three actors, as follows:
- Liquidity providers are those who provide the protocol with liquidity and receive write Buffer tokens (rBFR) in return. They also receive a part of the premium paid by option buyers as long as they hold rBFR.
- Option buyers can customize and buy any option on all supported assets on the protocol.
- BFR holders can stake BFR to get yields, take part in governance, and enjoy other exclusive benefits.
